Dr Cheryl Waterhouse is the founder and practicing veterinarian. In 2014 Dr Waterhouse visited our facilities and expressed interest in enhancing their communications and client experience. At that time we had developed standard templated interactive display systems for various vertical markets including orthodontics and the golf industry. We formed a partnership with Dr Waterhouse and in developing the core content for Montage specifically for the Veterinary market. The creative process began as we defined what content is most relevant to the market and what we could do to streamline efficiencies and create the best experience for their clients.
Problem
Veterinary medicine is a complex beast. WIth a wide variety of species and breeds, there was a distinct need. There was a lot of information that we needed to include in Montage for Veterinarians.
Solution
A comprehensive case presentation and client education display system was designed and completed to help veterinarians better communicate with their clients. An elaborate digital brochure system was developed which ultimately included over 200 brochures and information sheets on topics varying from nutrition to ACL surgery. Each can be previewed on Montage and either emailed or texted home to the client directly from the Montage Board. We also developed specific “widgets” which would be displayed on the boards including our Calorie Counter, Age Converter, Chocolate Toxicity Meter as well as a variety of other interactive widgets. A series of educational videos were also produced.
Trivia seems to be a very popular pastime for many individuals. We developed an extensive Trivia Module including over 150 games ranging from specific sports teams to wine and music. We currently experience over 200,000 trivia interactions per month.
Montage is much more than entertainment…we developed a clinical component including a Whiteboard with drawing feature, and an integration path for client radiography systems. We included medical illustrations and a library of x-rays depicting various clinical problems.
Hardware
This hardware/ software solution is placed in the Exam room as well as in the reception area of the office. Typically a 32’ or 43” wall mounted Montage touch display is mounted in each exam room. One of our 55” towers is typically the fit for the reception area…although a vertical wall mount is available for that location.
Upon completing the Montage System for Veterinarians, we took the show on the road. The market agreed with Dr Waterhouse and Montage Veterinary is installed throughout the country.
