Project Description
The Armenian Cultural Center plays a vital role in preserving Armenian culture in Fresno, a city with a significant Armenian population. It serves as a meeting place where community members can connect, celebrate their heritage, and share their traditions with future generations.

The Big Fresno Fair features an amazing museum with a variety of displays and iconic memorabilia. Located on the second floor of the Fresno Fair Museum, is a dynamic display featuring the history of the Armenian culture and past and present. Solutions by Design was called in to design and develop an interactive display system as well as a variety of other projects for the group.
This interactive display consists of 2 floor kiosk systems and supported by a large mural that consumes the majority of the wall. The display covers the migration of Armenians to the Valley as well as their role in agriculture, commerce, politics, religion and the arts. We also feature current organizations and clubs as well as local monuments and places to visit to explore the Armenian culture.
We designed a free standing floor kiosk system to mount each of 2 - 55” touch displays.
User Interface
Because the group also required a dynamic website, this project was the basis for their website which made development very cost-effective. Each of the subject categories is represented by an icon with a dropdown menu. Although “touch” and mouse controls are a different game, there were many shared resources between the 2 projects, especially contentwise.
Hardware
Hardware consisted of 2 55” Digital Multi-touch displays mounted into custom designed and fabricated floor kiosk bases.
