Message from the President
I founded Solutions by Design in 1985 with a business plan to offer local clients a full range of advertising, marketing and graphic design services. Given our location in the San Joaquin Valley of Central California, we began to focus on select markets such as agriculture and health care. In the mid-eighties, our business flourished, doubling in size year after year. As our company grew, we expanded our market into Washington, Oregon and Florida and developed export programs into Japan, China, Taiwan and Europe in the agricultural arena. We quickly became recognized as the “brand and marketing resource” in agricultural marketing, developing high-impact brand and packaging programs for our growers and shippers.
Identifying a specific need in dental health-care marketing, we ventured into that market in 1988. As we began to grow this market, our service offerings also expanded. In the early nineties, we began developing web-based products and applications. Combining our expertise in marketing, design, video production and technology, we produced cutting-edge websites and interface applications for a world market. ScreenPlay® and ReferralWare® were then introduced into the orthodontic arena. Both applications are proprietary and are utilized on a daily basis in more than 16 countries.
With a growing demand for integrated web-based portal applications, Solutions by Design set out to offer technology services to manufacturers and other corporate entities worldwide. In 2010 alone, we introduced three new applications – bLink®, ANDI® and Montage®. Each provides specific opportunities for our clients to access, manage and integrate desktop and server-based communications and content with their clients and customers via the Internet.
Our unique ability to design a user-friendly interface with market-based content and strong back-end solutions has once again provided us with significant growth.
